“I hate you, I hate, despise, and loathe you
And I want to tear, rip and shred you from the inside out
You are weak, emotional, needy,
Far too demanding for this one soul to bear.
You use me and abuse the very core
Of my pathetic being
Making me forget what being human is.
Your slogan is love, but you forget
It is I you are to love first. Hasn’t life
At least taught you that?
Maybe I am not perfect,
A bit far from the cover of some
Fashion magazine,
Trading beauty and popularity
Where a personality matters most.
Maybe my way is not
Like what others tend to do,
Saying and doing things untrue
Pretending to be something they’re not
But I am different, a fact you use
To believe, too.
Where truth was a banner
We held together and
Beauty was still skin deep.
Maybe my social skills lack the muster of
Those so-called friends you entertain,
With their plastic ways and mixed up lies
Served with smiles so fake and kindness
That will be required to pay back in time.
But I am one of a kind and that will
Never change.
Call me old fashioned, a dying breed
Of a dying way, where
Honor and generosity still meant
What they were suppose to.
You see, I hate, despise and loathe you,
That may be true,
But I am also required to love you

none
Crimson regret flows
From veins of mortal men
While black hearts drip upon
The face of innocent ones
Iron masks show no sign
Of mercy, nor of pain
While the moon pales
And the stars rain
Down their wrath
Upon the virgin soil
Sovereign Darkness reigns
Where light is now forgot
Malice and its partner Hate
Continue their cruel waltz
As good and Love watch
From cages barred with fear
From veins of mortal men
While black hearts drip upon
The face of innocent ones
Iron masks show no sign
Of mercy, nor of pain
While the moon pales
And the stars rain
Down their wrath
Upon the virgin soil
Sovereign Darkness reigns
Where light is now forgot

Continue their cruel waltz
As good and Love watch

Homesick
"I have no home
No place I belong
Still I wonder through this land
Where they tell me I am part
I feel alone and very empty
Like something just ain’t right
How can one who is a part feel
So different and so lost…"
No place I belong
Still I wonder through this land
Where they tell me I am part
I feel alone and very empty
Like something just ain’t right
How can one who is a part feel
So different and so lost…"

The Dance
Keys of Ivory, ebony play
as the couple dance
Caught up in the eve so sweet
a beautiful romance
He takes her hand, gently guides
she smiles at him so
They twirl across the floor so free
neither wanting to let go
Love is there, its soft embrace
holding them so dear
Neither thinking of the past, the now
No future do they fear
Completely enraptured in their love
and forever never part
The sweetness of their lives, you see
will live on in my heart.

Drowning
Further I slip from your grasp
Slowly falling into the depths
You smile as you say goodbye
I wonder what you mean
The waters close about my head
I feel that I can't breathe
My life flashes before my eyes
Dark, clouded images, full of regret
As I clasp my hand to my chest
My lungs, finally gasp for air
It is them I realize the truth
I am not the one who's drowning.

Mirror'd
A deformed face
A familiar look
A different angle
A subtle approach
A silver coating
A brass frame
A beautiful image
A shattered dream
A mirror with two faces
A face with no name.

The Golden Compass
This is the first in the Dark Materials books by Philip Pullman. the movie is set to release in December of this year. The official websight is a blast, especially for people wondering what those animals are at the bottom of my blog. Just click on the image and it should take you there. Watch the trailer, read the book, and let me know what you think. For Harry Potter fans, you just might like it, too.
